Shipping

Free standard shipping on orders over $45. Below that standard shipping is a flat $250 anywhere in the UK and EU, and $250 for the rest of the world.

Everything is packed in board-backed mailers or double-walled boxes for larger formats. If a corner arrives bent, tell us and we will replace it without asking for the damaged copy back.

Returns

Thirty days on unread copies, for any reason at all — including having changed your mind. We refund to the original payment method within three working days of the book arriving back.

Damaged or misprinted copies are replaced at our cost, and we cover return postage. eBooks and audiobooks are non-returnable once the download link has been opened.

Anything in stock leaves the shop within 24 hours, Monday to Saturday. You'll get a dispatch email with tracking as soon as it's on the van.

Yes — unbleached paper, cotton ribbon and a hand-written card if you give us the message at checkout. There's no charge for it.

Almost always. Email us the title or ISBN and we'll tell you the price and how long it will take, usually two to five working days.

Only occasionally, and only in person. Bring them in on a weekday morning and we'll look through them with you.

Roughly twice a month, in the reading room. Subscribers to the dispatch hear about them first, and tickets are usually free.
